We’ve lived next door to Pam and Vern for a few years now, me, Sam and our kids. I knew before we’d even viewed the house that it was going to be the one for us, as my horoscope that morning had practically said as much. It’s a great location, with the kids’ school just around the corner, although having said that, I’d love to home school my two. Perhaps if I was a bit cleverer…

I’m certainly one for self-development. I’m currently taking pottery classes, which I absolutely love. The kitchen dresser is crammed full of my weird and wonderful creations (I’m worse than the kids). I work part time, but definitely need my creative outlet. I plan to take up French evening classes soon as I’ve always regretted not keeping it on at school.

I’d say I’ve got a pretty busy lifestyle, what with my job, my classes and helping out with the local brownie pack. There’s little time left for much else, which is probably just as well as we’re saving hard for our dream holiday in Florida, a trip we really want to take while the children are still young.

If we could get those new energy efficient windows that Pam’s talked about, the money we would save on our energy bills each month could go straight into the holiday fund and those suitcases
would be coming down from the attic a whole lot sooner! Slim chance of that
though, I can’t really see Sam going for it at the moment. He’s worried about
cut backs at work, so now might not be the best time to drop this
one on him!
