Hello...

When the family over the road had new windows installed throughout, well, it got us thinking, especially when Vern mentioned that that they’ll now be getting free energy!

Yes, free!

So, as you can imagine that really got us interested! After all, when’s the last time you got something for nothing, eh? Not recently, we’ll bet!

Apparently, it’s all to do with the glass which captures warmth from natural daylight and keeps more heat in, so your energy bills are much lower, and you’re doing your bit for the environment too, which can’t be bad.

On top of which they look great, really smarten up the place and are currently putting the rest of the street to shame!

Sounds expensive, you say!

Well, that’s what we thought too, but actually, as Vern pointed out, they cost about the same as normal windows.

So, with that in mind, I’m hoping to convince Vern to join me for a bit of window shopping later, while Fern will need to work on her other half. Not that Sam should need much convincing mind. Once I’ve got my Vern sold on the idea he’ll be there to give him a prod. With Vern’s powers of persuasion, Sam will soon see that the benefits of energy efficient glass are clear (excuse the pun!).
